I cycle through the sorts of things I draw or paint. I’m currently flipping between pastels and drawing. I’ve yet to figure out how to get a crisp edge on a pastel but I do love doing a swirly swooshy sunset with them.
This one was based on the sunset I saw up on the Murray river in December. The horizon not being straight is an artifact of the crooked photography rather than on my drawing, these days I actually make sure i’ve got it right before starting.
There is an art to doing reflections in waves, I’m slowing beginning to do what I see, not what I think I see.
